Oatmeal Cookies-My favorite cookie recipe!

Oatmeal Cookies

In one bowl mix:
1 Cup shortening
1 Cup white sugar
1 Cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla

In another bowl mix:
1 1/2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon soda
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 cup nuts
1 cup raisins
1 cup coconut
3 cups oats

add first ingredients to this mix together:
Bake at 350 deegrees till lightly brown and still soft.

Dang Bob, you shoulda' had Chef Bob as your Avatar! Sweets are my down fall. Do you cook or like to cook?. I love to cook but hate to clean up. Me and the wife have a deal. I cook, she cleans up. But I usually clean up as I go so she gets a break. Monty

Allergic to coconut, but we add dried cranberries to a similar recipe...
