Looks like a hand made walking stick, sometimes called a serpentine style walking stick :icon_thumleft:

What is it's length; 5 inches or 5 feet?
What is the back story told to you by your parents or others?
Is the left end a removable (screw on) cap?
Don........

Shillelagh? A bulls prize possession doesn't have wood grain. This has also been carved.

That's a fact - no wood grain in a bully stick. However, lots of blood vessels and veins!! As for the carving, it's very hard when dried. Could easily be carved. Without looking at it in person, I still have to tip my hat towards bully stick.

I wouldn't mind seeing a few close ups of this stick, including the knob.

Breezie, get a grip
it's a wooden walking stick! :tongue3:

In Maori, it is known as a toko toko (pronounced tock-o tock-o) I wonder why :walk:

Edit: On reviewing the original pics closer up, I think it is a #$@&* after all.

Agreed... and a bulls ***** resembles dried sinew... and has very large pronounced "graining" or whatever you want to call it.

Also... no "knot" or "knob" would be present.

Hard to say for sure but it looks only about 12 inches long...

I'm guessing its a native drum stick of some sort.
