Ocean City, MD Weekend Finds

Hit the beach for the Labor Day Weekend. Beach was tore up from previous winds and weather. Swimmers were spread out with sand bars and flat beach areas. Big crowds with very nice weather until winds picked up on Sunday.



Because of the condition of the beach, I hunted in areas I usually don't. I found the first gold on a sand bar. 10k with 10 ice chips -5.46 grams.


Next ring was a return. Wife came down to where I was detecting asking if I could help them find her husband's ring. I gladly followed her to where they were set up and it only took me about 10 seconds to find his 14k band. They were astonished that I found it and very grateful. They offered to buy me dinner but I refused saying that their smiles were thanks enough!



Third ring I found this morning on a short hunt before I drove home. My first 585 marked ring after 30+ years of detecting. 5.15 grams Found on upper dry slope.



Plum tired after digging 555 coins worth $44.40 with all the other stuff.

That's one pretty ring. I'll go to the Delaware Coast as or after the storm passes. I do not go in the water, so little danger.

Rental property said out by 12:00 noon on Tuesday. Locals get a extra day. I guess there being cautious.

Thanks, buddy. Those storms can bring the sand in, too. Looks like that happened with this one. Last week the best day was Satuday. Surf was manageable. Sunday and Monday, conditions were rough and tide was very high. Couldn't get to where people had been swimming. Beach was packed, though, so the stuff is out there. I would imagine the OC boys should do pretty well once things settle down.
