Howdy. I found this a few days ago near the center of a small town established in the 1890's. It is brass and says "PATENTED" on the back. It's probably a never-to-be-precisely-identified item but 'ya never know, 'ya know...maybe someone recognizes it.

My guess... Curtain rod holder... for sheers.
This would be for right side.

Looks like half of a handle style latch off of an old icebox
