Saran wrap where are thou? Detected a neighbors yard some the other day, evidently someone believed in eating their sandwiches outside pre-saran wrap times. Dug enough aluminum foil to fill my pouch, really hard to find any nickel type items

Got some clad and a few keys, a few older type relics. Then went and roamed around a bit got a "Slamming" hit out in the field. Dug a while and some round clod popped out. Hmm it is some kind of coin like thing pretty big, maybe a token? Went to wash it and saw I had some cereal prize coin of some sort.

I took one of those scrub pads to it. Seems to be made of brass looks more "Golden" now he-he. Maybe will deposit it in the kiddies sand-box at the public park after some more sanding!

Tanks for looking at my Clunka-Junka!

Nice finds CoinandRelicMan!

Maybe its a counterfeit $20 coin?

Kellogg & Co started producing the Double eagle in 1854 in San Fran.I don't think its the Cereral company lol
Still a neat find!

National Collectors Mint made Kellogg $20 replicas, they no longer sell them, just the 1849 US version.
they were made into money clips and keychains.
Currently on their site you can purchase a pound of 'copper pennies' (pre '83 US cents, listed under 'special sale items')
for $24.99, 50% off the regular $49 price plus $6 shipping. This would be 146 Cents. :laughing7:
The ad states you might even find a 'Highly coveted Wheat Cent' in your $1.46.
A somewhat better deal is their 'Pound of Silver Coins' for only $899 (plus $30 shipping),
This will get you about $250 spot of junk US silvers.
The company amazes me with the prices asked for many of their offerings,
almost $250 for a pair of 'El Cazador' Half Reals ?? Puh-leese :laughing9:

Their replicas are the best buys on the site.

Yours is a great recovery in my book :) Congrats !!

Now that's just mean! Funny, but mean!

Sent from my iPad using TreasureNet

:laughing9: I buy all the colonial replicas I can find at flea markets, rather than tot lots they go around the old sites I frequent.
I've found a few of my own plants, you never know what will come out next :laughing7:

I really like that coin, way to go!

Thanks guys! Never expected that people would think that some copy is a good find, still it is far better than half an aluminum can in my book!

what makes you think its from a cereal box or something like that
I was kidding about the cereal box because of the Kellogs Co. thing on the headband, but it certainly is not GOLD tho =)

Cool find still, and plated it would be a nasty plant.:)
