It was a knife to begin with. Probably (out of my field here) a Snyders Point (Mound Builder stuff).

Knives don't have to by symmetrical, and usually aren't.

Material's Flintridge, unless I miss my guess.

Wow!

My understanding is that while Snyders points and knives do occur in western Pennsylvania, they are not common. You sure scored an exceptional example.
