GrayCloud, I wish I had a nickle for every bottle I've dug or picked up in those woods. Some I keep, some I give away. They're not ancient, but they do mark where more things may be underneath. I've left that area for ya'll.

For those of you that have never ate MIDNIGHT venison, rabbit, coon, gar, etc., ONE EYE BEAGLE=HEAD LIGHT. In my youth, we used a carbide light. You could always catch fish with the carbide, if your telephone did not work. Oh how I miss those good old days. We didn't have any money, but we ate good.

For those of you that have never ate MIDNIGHT venison, rabbit, coon, gar, etc., ONE EYE BEAGLE=HEAD LIGHT. In my youth, we used a carbide light. You could always catch fish with the carbide, if your telephone did not work. Oh how I miss those good old days. We didn't have any money, but we ate good.

I can remember here when some thing happened the car horns would start blowing then came the yelling (News like rabid dog on it way west) so then you go blow your horn and yell to the next house. Crude but it worked. Then every body remembers they have a party line and getting on the phone for the rest of the story.

As far as a rabid dogs the grown ups would climb up on the roof with their rifles and take pop shots as the dog was running across the fields until somebody would hit it.

Now am I telling how old I really am?

Also bible belt night time coon hunts were drinking nights. Sitting around a fire in the woods and listen to the dogs running. Thats old blue and thats one is lady, dam if yellow don't have one treed. What was funny as the night went on all the dogs begin to sound alike.

I regret to inform y'all that i won't be making this trip after all.......seems a weekend Panama City beach hunt has presented itself on April 4th (my true interest....I'm trying to get into beach hunting and CW relic hunting mostly as old coins really dont interest me)....I give any old silver coins i find to my dad......I had to make a choice of the 2 hunts because i can't afford 2 "travel" hunts in such a short time span....im gonna miss meeting all of y'all but maybe we can make it up at another time.......y'all have enough fun for me and make sure to show lots of pics
