Thanks everyone! It's going to be ok. He'll be fiddlin' at the hunt, I'm sure. Right now, I'm so p!$$d at him I could take his fiddle away from him. Since he's not having anything done until Thursday morning, he decided he'd go outside for a "walk." (translate that into 'have a smoke.') Nurse said No. He said something to the effect that reflected Yes. She said he wasn't in jail, but he'd have to sign this form to go outside. He did. An AMA form. "Against Medical Advice" or something like that. That means the insurance doesn't pay for your visit when you leave AMA. I won't repeat my EXACT words, but it had something to do with his anatomy if he didn't get his butt back up to the 6th floor and get that form reduced to ashes.

"oh, yes, dear."

ME, you can understand, I'm sure. Lordy, help me.

You're right, Evy! We (Noodle, River Rat, and Dan) pulled up to that little knoll and there sat this kitty. It seemed to be well-fed, and while we watched it, Dan went up to the top of the area and couldn't help himself. Had to fiddle!

Another couple drove up and proceeded to pet and feed the kitty and listened to Dan. We finally left, reluctantly leaving the little kitty. He/It seemed to be well fed (by all us strangers) and watered. It went off into the shrubs. In the meanwhile, Dan had another fiddling place under his belt. Where was that place? Somewhere in lower Oklahoma??

We were still in OK cutting through the Ouachita National Forest. As you can see in the picture, the children in the background are trying to catch the kitten. We stayed at Broken Bow, OK that night. What stays on my mind is the "Purple People Eater" pulling the purple trailer.

THAT was a memorable moment!!! The purple dragmobile!!! Check out that guy's beard -- "blowing in the wind." A real free-liver!! What was neat was the little bitty mobile home they were towing. Purple, again! Color-coordinated all the way!!

noodle, get him some nicotine gum or something to kill the urge. it helped me quit dipping tobacco for about 3 years now. and yes me being a nurse doing something AMA is never good. if the window opens he might sneak a smoke and blow it out the window. lol (when i worked in hospital it happened all the time.) hope all ends well and he is ok. neil

Ask the Nurse for a catheter. position the box by the door and tell Dan that the next time he decides to leave his room you will hunt him down and use it on him. Better yet ask them for a 3-way irrigation catheter like they use after prostate surgery. Big sucker, no huge!!!!!

That would keep me in my room.

I'll be praying for both of you.
