Ok, I'm a bit more confused than usual. I set out looking for arrowheads today near a small creek where we recently took down a large tree and regraded the field afterwards. What I found was about every variety of chert under the sun all in one place. You couldn't walk 5 ft without finding endless flakes and larger chunks of cheers. But did not find one arrowhead in tact. So, my question to you experts, are chert deposits typically 25 different colors of chert in one area or do you think these were all buried there. Here is just a sampling of all the colors found today in NW Georgia.

This looks like it has potential… as for a lot of that stuff it looks pretty blocky doesn’t look like they were working on bifaces… but I’m my experience I do usually find a few different types of flint each time I go looking.

A lot of that material has had a flake or 2 knocked off or are flakes. I'd guess you're on a site that has had a lot of activity, definitely a place to look more closely at.

Here in my area chert is gray, with occasional white streaks. I have found one small bird point that was all white. But nothing like the colors you are finding.
