Ok, I'm a bit more confused than usual. I set out looking for arrowheads today near a small creek where we recently took down a large tree and regraded the field afterwards. What I found was about every variety of chert under the sun all in one place. You couldn't walk 5 ft without finding endless flakes and larger chunks of cheers. But did not find one arrowhead in tact. So, my question to you experts, are chert deposits typically 25 different colors of chert in one area or do you think these were all buried there. Here is just a sampling of all the colors found today in NW Georgia.
