Oh no I won't!

I went to dump some halves at a WF. The new teller had the head teller come over. The head teller told her to have me write my account number on the rolls. I told her I don't want that information on the rolls in case they go to someone else. She said they would mark over them with a black marker. I told her that doesn't work. I can still see the number with a loupe. The head teller told her just put them in the drawer. I left with my money and no numbers on the rolls.

Bank number... not fun to give that out.

I remember when my banks used to make me and everyone else put an address stick on every roll...

Glad that was before I started CRHing... would never have enough stickers nowadays!

Hey Silver Fox , after reading of your experience with the rolls it occurred to me that I

couldn't think of any advantage to ever re-rolling dump coins prior to dumping. I locate

nearby banks that have customer accessible coin counters in the lobby , open free checking

so as to incur no fees , and "Bob's your uncle". Argentium.

Re: Oh no I won't!

I re-roll, use machines and dump in bags the bank gives me. I live in a small area. Only 2 machines in town.

Re: Oh no I won't!

Whenever I'm asked to write the acct# on rolls I insert one wrong digit and use my crappiest, illegible handwriting. I also insist on staying at the teller window to piss them off while I mark them.
The tellers never look at the number and cash them fast to get rid of me.
I use machines at home but sometimes have to turn rolls in while on business trips where there are no machines.

I'll do that next time....LOL

Re: Oh no I won't!

Would by funny as hell if they attempted to verify the account number in front of you.

"Um, sir... this account number doesn't check out."

"Oh... really? I'm sorry... I must have made a mistake in writing out my number."

"Well... um... each of the rolls has the same number on it. And there are like... 50 rolls here."

"Uh.... bye!"

And you run away. =)
