Banks are closed for Columbus Day ? Really?... I just lugged two bags down to the bank on my lunch hour and there closed damn. Who cares about Columbus Day? I need to get a job at a bank.. Soooo easy.... Lol

Columbus landed on some Islands off of Florida and named them San Salvador, islands are now called Bahamas..............

Takes me back to my early diving career where I worked for Riding Rock dive resort on San Salvador. Very remote and isolated, but fantastic diving. Great to visit; extremely lonely to live there.

Lol, obviously not. I saw it today though. Columbus Day? Really?.....we really need to get rid of that holiday. It's total bs. I like the 9/11 idea.

Here where I live I in michigan most the banks are open. a couple of businesses were closed but northwestern bank was open. I actually called them to double check that they had ordered my box of halves. I know my LCS was closed and I know the hospital lab where I go to get blood drawn monthly was closed. thank goodness I went there the day before.

But major bummer to anyone who accidently went to a closed bank. Personally I think all the post offices, doctors offices and pharmacies around here get way too many minor holidays off. I mean to be closed new years eve and day? Really? Eesh.

Oh well, everything will be open tomorrow.
