Went out late in the afternoon yesterday to try my luck at the iron infested beach. I did well finding a barber and merc dime along with a silver quarter. I ran out of daylight, so I decided to hit it again this morning.
Just for the heck of it I decided to run full tones. Usually doing that just overwhelms my ears and I go back to 3 tones. But this time it all seemed to click and I ended up with one of my best days.
No gold this trip but I ended up with a total of 10 silvers.
3 Mercurys, 2 Barber dimes, 1 1941 quarter, 2 40% silver nickels, a silver square religious pendent and what I think is my coolest find, a large stone set in .925 silver pendent. Not sure what gem it is. At first I thought it was citrine but now after rinsing off I think it may be smoky quartz? If you have a better guess, please post it.
Also scooped 9 wheaties, 2 Buffalos, 2 old costume jewelry pins, a guitar charm and a junk religious pendent
