Good hunting there. Not all finds are clad, gold or silver. Learning the use of your machine in your backyard is priceless. I live in condo so cannot do that had to do all my practicing at local parks and beaches. If coins are what you are looking for maybe you should make a coin garden by placing different types of coins at different depths and see how your detector reacts. This could go a long way in teaching you the pro's and cons of your machine. Anyway good luck have fun and happy hunting. Ted

If that's a copper spear point, I wouldn't consider that junk.

And you've got a piece of chain off an animal trap. That makes your yard a little wilder Trappers and spear hunters inhabited it at one time.
