I'll edit my response, went looking for the vendor - they'll never get my business if this offer to you is true.

Typically, when out of warranty CTX's come up for sale on TNet Classified, they generally are in the range of $1500.

I just bought one (CTX) on line on another detecting sight, paid $1,290 including shipping ... was a never used back up machine... was like brand new... love it, while still learning all the things it can do... but, it is heavy... over 1 1/2 lbs more than my F75 Fisher, but, built like a tank to last forever.... I'm use to the weight already.
