okay button people what is this?

We got a Thing on top that is called a ""rigsæble""picture one. The button has an anchor and crossed cannons, the only word i can read is battalion on the right of the button. any help will be apriciated. The button is found in Denmark.

Off the top of my head, I'd say French of some type late 1700's, early 1800's.

Thanks guys, i think that it is pretty much the same. Mine just don't say francaise mine says battalion.
