i've narrowed down my choices between the at pro and the tesoro tiger shark and i am going to get one or the other this saturday.....both have pro's and con's about them ..... problem is i just can't seem to make up my mind.... i'm mostly a coin shooter not having a knack for relic hunting and i am after one of these machines to start some water hunting this spring and i plan on doing quite a bit....i'm about to drive myself crazy trying to decide!!!! so this is what i have come up with...given the choice, which one would you choose??? don't have to give a reason or rhyme just put one or the other and the one with the most votes by saturday will help me determine which one i'll buy!!!! thanks for playing and i'll also post this on the garrett page as well.....

Ive not used either but would go with a Tesoro before any other brand simply for the lifetime warranty that those guys stand by. Best luck and I hope you find many things :)

Unless you plan to spend 90-percent of your time hip-deep in fresh water, get the AT pro. The Tiger Shark is a WATER machine first - and heavier than the AT Pro. Good Luck! :headbang:

Terry and I both love Tesoro, and in this case I have to agree.

Unless you're going to spend lots of time in fresh water, I'd get the AT Pro also.

The Tiger Shark is one of the few heavy machines Tesoro makes (Sand Shark is the other) and weight is a major factor for most of us because of arm fatigue. It's a good detector, but the AT Pro might have the edge on it.

Also, I have to admit the updated technology in the AT Pro is pretty appealing too.

If you are willing to put the Tiger on a belt mount it really takes the weight off your arm. I got one of the Tesoro pouches for mine and it works good for me, although it opens up some problems like flexing of the coil wire, and I have clunked my scoop against the housing pretty hard while digging a target. I use the 10.5 coil and still the weight is minimal. But, I have heard great things about the AT Pro...I guess if you can try out each before buying it would help you decide what would work best for you. Good luck, Niffler
