Kind of new to the forum, but these are some of my finds from Okinawa. Most recently from yesterday evening.

Some that I thought were pretty cool:
2 Japanese SEN coins (Pre Yen) found on Mt Yae.
Japanese 7.7mm bullets (WWII).
1 silver Quarter.
A few Wheat Backs.
Several B series Tokens (Naha Air Base, The Olympia)
An Iron Cross (pretty sure its fake)
4 rings.
A men's lapel flower holder.
A broach, and several pins,
A 3rdMarDiv Vietnam Tie Clasp (and 2 USMC Vietnam era issue Tie Clasps)
And a dog tag (issued when serial numbers were used)

Thanks for looking.

Very cool you can hunt Okinawa, I love the USMC finds! Any chance you could get a close up or post the info stamped into the dog tag?

Steve

The dog tag...

I was stationed on Okinawa while in the USMC for about 6 months about 15 years ago. I really regret not getting into metal detecting back then. I eyeballed some cool WWII finds and there had to have been a ton of relics lurking about... nice finds....

great finds stationed there back in 84-85 1st marine air wing at futema air base ,lots of military history there.great memories of that place, is bc street still around ?:headbang:

Very interesting finds from a place where it must of being a living hell for everyone involved over the 82 days of the war.

1969, wasn't much to do then, metal detecting would have been fun (except for all of the live military stuff still being found back then).
