I dug this button at about 3 inches in North Eastern Kansas yesterday. The size of it is just a bit smaller than a dime.
I hope someone on here might be able to tell me something about it.
It has on it:
The Great Seal Of Oklahoma 1907
I can not exactly make out the letters in the center.

Thanks for any help !

Just found one of these today. Tiny little button, the backing is gone and the gilt is falling off. I'm going to use clear nail polish to save whats left.

It should be noted that 1907 was the year of statehood for Oklahoma. Monty

I stumbled upon this thread because I'm wearing a jacket with these buttons on it! To make a long story short, my grandpa let me borrow his old jacket because I didn't have one when I was at his house the other day. All of the buttons are the same as the one above. "Oklanoma". Interesting. Looks like two cuff buttons, and 5 vertical jacket buttons. Inside is plaid. Outside is tan/brownish.

OMG - I am searching the web to find my jacket which has these buttons! the maker label is worn off from washing and all that is left is the country of origin - China. The reason I am doing the search is because I would love to replace this jacket. I have travelled the world in it, it is the best piece of clothing I ever had. Does yours still have a label. Maybe it will help me locate another or find if they still make them. I can't go on enough about how great the jacket is. I think it is a copy of a chinese army jacket. Its cotton. good for three seasons - sleep hike, work travel - it is .. well I have tried to throw it out three times and I am wearing it today as I paint shutters on my house. I did see these buttons for sale on ebay as I searched but no jacket. Thanks

I hate to tell you but I am pretty sure your Navy button is a modern civilian fashion one. To be sure please post a picture of the back.
