You might consider browsing Sub-Forums: Oklahoma for information (i.e., clubs, hunts, finds, legends, maps, etc.) directly related to your state.

Welcome from Summit County, CO, from a native red dirt Oklahoman. Some places to maybe check out down there, every little town had or still has a fairgrounds or rodeo grounds. Lots of old depot sites since the railroads went out. And if you're bored, for a more enhanced Oklahoma metal detecting experience, I would advise anyone on here to head down to SE Oklahoma with out of state plates on your truck, or even out of county plates, and hop out with a detector. I can pull that one off with no problem, but let me know how it turns out for y'all.

The other day I went by one of the old home sites that I have permission to hunt. The man that owns the place stopped by told me a little bit about the place. He doesn't know where the house stood but it appears to have an old wooden cloths line on the property. Then he informed me that the old town rodeo arena is on the property to. He couldn't remember if it was built in the late forties and it closed in the eighties. Can't wait to take my son there and hunt away.
