I am posting this for a very dear friend of mine, his computer is messed up and he can't upload the pictures from his phone to this site, he posted on FB. His name is David Bryan. He found this real small padlock the other day at a former old school near where he lives, it is now a volunteer fire dept. he said it was about 4 to 5 inches deep. I copied his picture from facebook to put in here. Does anyone know what kind of lock it is, what it may have been used for? Also, any value to it? He said he can't fiond any markings on it ......yet. He has only lightly cleaned it with a brush. Thanks in advance for any replies........nge

It looks like a miniature brass lever lock made by Barnes Manufacturing Company, circa 1879
