Hit the lake very early this morning. Hunted in the swim areas but the targets were few and far between. Hit the old area last and got this
antique initial ring. Only got 9 coins, and an interesting find. One of my first targets was this possible gold nugget. I used my gold test kit and it came up good. It is also quite heavy. I will let you know what comes out on this one.

Great hunt Mike  big congrats on the gold items, I found a kids ring similar to that in the woods last spring and took a pic of it and posted it, then the next day I was trying to straighten it out some and it broke but it's still gold.

Wow, really neat looking ring, Mike. And if that proves to be a gold nugget it's a real clunker!

HH

Nice ring and oh-so-precious gold nugget! Really nice! ffd

Awesome ring Mike. Your nugget looks like the one I found last year. The one I found is about a one once copper nugget and yours looks like it has gold mixed with the copper. Nice finds.

Wolverine.

killer finds!, a big congrats on some old gold.

That is awesome! :icon_thumright: I was not aware we had gold in Michigan. That rocks! :headbang: I hope that turns out to be the real deal. Nice ring too! :icon_thumright: :icon_thumleft:

Nice finds, no expert, but Ive seen pyrite and that doesn't look like pyrite,do let us
know.

Good luck,
HH.

Great finds Mike. I've been thicking it's about time to start looking in the water also.

from the looks of the size of that nugget if it is gold it should weight over a oz. Nice finds...Matt

I'm very curious as to the verdict on that (what looks like a) nugget. That fine glazier gold had to come up from bedrock, it would seem likely there'd be some nuggets here and there too. Almost 1/2 oz is a big one.

Gold is where you find it!

Like I said... You'd be the infamous Yukon Cornelius... :wav: Congrats buddy!!
