Are you sure about the size? It looks bigger than that. My first impression was "tie rod" from an early automobile suspension.


Of course it could be an a$$ fork, if you're in to that sort of thing...

I can think of many possibilities, none definitive, and none that will make it valuable beyond it's weight in iron. But it is still the finest "ass fork" I've ever seen.

3/4 inch seems small for an O A F ...
Possible it might have been a slingshot, though ?

Please put something for a size reference next to it and take another picture. AS DCMatt said, it looks bigger than 3/4 inch. If it is, it reminds me of a clutch fork.

Now just to screw with everyone, give us it's weight in grains.

Edit- I see an eye bolt. Did you find it by the sea? Eye bolts are common around docks and boats.
