Found this old button today at an old home site. Can anyone identify?

looks like crossed cannons to me --so a artilleryman's button is highly possible * --any lettering or numbers -- any wording upon the rear ? -- like scovill or any "quality' markings ? like "superoir quailty -or - treble gilt ?

Thanks Jeep. I used your advise on taking the pics. Did just like you said actually.

And as far as markings on the back of the button all I've made out is an "A" the rest is too corroded
