Old Button

I found an old copper(?) button, possibly milatry while metal detecting at an old dance hall here in SD today. Id love to find out what its off of.

[Metal Detecting Stuff]

If it says "Specte mur agendo" , it could be either an old military button or a common blazer button. I've seen similar on WWII British uniforms, civil war era uniforms, and modern blazers. See if there are any backmarks, might help in dating the button.
