Found these yesterday on an island on an upstate NY lake. The buttons are not ledgible on the front but the back of 2 of them read TREBLE GILD LONDON. Any ideas? Found the pocket knife not too far away. The handle appears to be made of antler. Any insight would be great.

The knife reminds me of an old barlow or case.

My thoughts exactly! Barlow two bladed...Nice finds hh to all

Nice knife and a couple of nice old flat buttons. Good saves!

The old knife is one of those items that before I started knowing better I would toss aside.Mainly not following up on them and going buy how most people would react to them meaning for me trying to date them as 20th century. And not following my gut instinct knowing that where I found them being dug right beside other items much like you have there with the flat buttons they would fall in well with them for age.For me I should of known better cause my sites are so remote. All that said your knife looks like a early pen/quill knife to me.Modern terms for pen knives are knives with two folding blades & calling single blade knives like yours quill knives.Which I believe yours is.Two other choices would be english jack knife or boy's knife.Good site below for knives.Has all the ones spoke of in it.
Take Care,
