Old campaign button (so as not to be confused with a clothes button)

Found this today. Looks like a campaign button or some other type of button, but the back does not look like a pin type. Dollar sized. Any Ideas?

Hmm, buckle or rosette maybe? I do believe there is text on the back, along the to section.

Yea, rosette so a strap could go through. I was thinking an "I Like Ike" button cause of the shape with the roundness.
