Last Saturday while hunting with friends at an early 1900's Catholic schoolyard, I unearthed this gold plated copper case. Remarkably, I was successfully able to open the case without damaging it.

Initially it seemed to be a necklace with a cross attached. After further investigation, I've learned it is a rosary, and it's in great shape!

Amazing find right there! Congrats :tchest:

Wow that's an amazing find.

Very cool find! It really make you wonder how long it was there? I wonder if it was buried by one of the students many years ago like as a small treasure chest? I bet if you go back you will find some more goodies!

Cant be more than 200 years old. Nice find by the way.

Amen! What a great place you found to hunt. Congrats on the find.

Czechoslovakia came into existence in 1918 and ended in partition on 1-1-1993. There's your time frame. The person who lost it may well still be alive.

Nice find.

Very very nice find- congrats

Remarkable condition. I can just imagine your facial expression as you slowly opened the historic case! How awesome. WTG

That is a great find. Nice Job. It is in great condition for being in the ground that long.

Congratulation.

It probably belonged to one of the nuns that taught at the school - Great Find!
