your chape is from the 1700's and a rare shape..

Thanks Blaze and yea it is from the 1700s. I think it was last week my brother posted his connecticut copper he found last week when we hunted there. Also could you give me some more info on the buckle? Thanks.

I must say that 1 is different from the norm

No pin holes or mounts

Almost looks like pewter..
