Old Cloak Button ??????

Once again i have know idea what kind of button this is......when i got it there was a label on it that read "Old Cloak & Dagger Button"......the button is 1 1/2" in dia. and 3/4" high (dome shaped) very heavy metal (Brass).....looks very old but excellent condition...if someone knows anything about this type of button i would love to hear from you......thanks lazysj

OK...first of all i didn't see Janet Jackson at the Superbowl, i only heard about it and a button was never mentioned....and what is a post civil war flower button the back of the button doesn't say anything, i can not see any makers mark, nothing......i will attach a picture, i only have a scanner so it won't be very good. thanks for all of the feedback......lazysj

post means after the war and flower button means any design thats decrotive and used for everyday dress items of the period
