Yesterday I got out to a local beach for a few hours. Found the normal trash and a few coins and then..in the dry sand I found this coin. could not believe my eyes!! I've been told it is a Hungarian Denar from 1575!! Looks like the coin was a recent drop.

I like that coin, though hard to believe it was a drop. The coin reads: PATRONA VNGARIE (Patron Saint of Hungary) and MAX II DGEROISAVGHVBR (though not bunched like that) and is short for: Maximilian II, by the grace of God, elected Holy Roman Emperor, forever Augustus, King of Germany, Hungary, and Bohemia.
The B you see is part of the mint mark: KB (the K being obscured on the left side) for Kremnitz. The coin is silver; 15.9 mm in diameter and should weigh 0.4 grams.
I hope it's real.
Don.........
