Was wondering if there are any thoughts on this Item.......Old Coin or Button ..............Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This Item measures 23mm in diameter and the thickness varies slightly, but is uniform otherwise .............

Button. I've found those too, made of copper. I thought they might be coins at first.

gonna have to say button too! the thing on the back confirms it, dont kno its orgin tho. HH CS

I was pretty sure that it was a button myself, but as always, I value the opinions of my fellow MD'ers here in the forum..........the thing that threw me a bit was the weight and the odd shape................ All the previous old buttons, I've found were pretty symmetrical and were lighter............as I don't have a coin scale, I can't give an exact weight............but it feels heavier than normal............Thanks for your opinions................They are truly appreciated.......

I have one that looks almost identical except its got a hexagonal circumference. I dug it pretty deep, and have wondered how old it is. Cool find.
