Old coin???

Found this at a ghost town today it's the same size as a nickel. Just need another opinion in case I'm crazy.

Its got some tick marks on the rim but I couldn't make out anything else.

Does the nickel fit in it? Did someone pour solder over a nickel? odd......

if it was a coin, the marks would suggest a V-nickel, but they look longer and more spaced apart than those on a v-nick, so I would lean more towards a token

I have found tokens the same size as a "V" nickel, even had the same denticles like yours.

Thanks everyone I also believe it's a token the ticks are just too spaced to be a nickel
