WENT TO WOODS SITE AT OLD CELLAR HOLE FOUND TO BUTTONS ONE BIG ONE TINY AND THIS RING NOT SURE WHATS ITS MADE OF BUT HARD RUST DEPOSIT IN CENTER MAY NEED TO USE ELECTRALISE TO CLEAN IT OUT WAS,NT EVEN SURE IT WAS A RING AT FIRST BUT PUT IN ROCK TUMBLER TO CLEAN IT AND YES A RING APPEARED THE PICS DONT SHOW IT VERY WELL USED MY EXPLORER SE WITH 10 BY 12 SEF COIL ON IT LOVE THAT COIL PINPOINT SPOT ON STILL LOTS TO LEARN ON THIS NEW DETECTOR BUT HAVING BLAST

Any markings visible on buttons?
try photographing with strong sidelight or sunlight.
 

Nice "Dandy" button.
Dandy buttons were large, over-sized buttons worn by affluent people of their time (1790's) to denote wealth and status.
Hence the saying, "Isn't that Dandy" "He's a Dandy" "that's a dandy" or,
I'm a Yankee doodle "Dandy" :D
