I traveled pretty far to search for a new site..they are getting hard to find. I was lucky enough to find some interesting finds. The copper celt was the coolest find of the hunt. I was hoping for some kind of coins...the penny was a let down.

Your perseverance paid off nicely! Love the copper relics, everything. The dainty detail on the 1st button, the axe...nice. Congrats on some very nice finds...Ddf.

Nice assortment of finds Duane. Congrats

A great bunch of finds! That copper celt is way beyond cool!

That celt is such a nice piece. The patina is very nice, and it has held up really well. It looks like the rest of the finds covers the entire 1800s time period. Those harmonica reeds are the right kind of stuff to find for the good stuff to show up from that era.

You have another outstanding grouping today. There is no telling what could be hiding in your woods. I know we joke about it all of the time, but I would seriously abandon my life and move to those woods with a tarp, rifle, shovel, and typewriter and devote my life on a deep spiritual level to the study of the Copper Culture and the contact/fur trade eras. You could be a monk, and you could make your own paper from the trees.
