This Roman coin is 18mm - the size of a dime. Where did you get your coin?

Anything on the back?

The back is pretty worn, it was found in NJ over the weekend at a spot I do not know much history on yet. Sounds like I need to do some research!!! I will get some better pics tonight, that pic was taken with my cell phone.

Great find...I'd search there again and again just to make sure it doesn't have a sister close by. Happy hunting!

It seems there are to many Roman coins being found on the east coast for one to say they are lost from someones collection .
I'm beginning to wonder if the did not have ships coming here in the distant past , and we have just not come to the conclusion that it was a fact yet .

I watched a show on the Discovery Channel were they spoke about ships coming to North America thousands of years ago to mine copper or get it from the Native Americans around the Great Lakes area . It was stated that when they did a tally of all the Bronze made that there where not enough mines and copper in the area of Europe to supply all the makers for the amount that had been made .

One has to wonder if the people did not go around the world more than is said .
