It looks to me like its from the 1700s and a fantastic find!I will look around for the mark on the back for ya....Keep posting those finds!I know you put up with alot, people still like to see what you dig :icon_thumleft:
 

Get a good antique jewelry appraisal..make sure the guys are true 'experts'. Grill them.

I could be wrong but I don't think things in the 1700s were marked .925 were they?
 

It doesn't look as old now that i see the mark good..It could be .835 or .725 i haven't had any luck finding it hmmmmmmm.Take it to a dealer
 

This cross is probably not more than 30 years old. That is a 925 stamped on the back, along with the maker's hallmarks. As far as trading the honda motor for the buckle........I sure hope that the motor was not running, and was junk, because that buckle is not worth anything.
