here are a few of many finds that old digger and his wife Karen digger found yesterday
he found the two copper pieces which are the copper point and the copper bangle for a jingle dress
and carol found the rest .........what i like the best are the KFR drill and the pretty jaw notch KRF arrow point
also note the good spoke shave she found
they also found some nice bone awls and quill flatteners and flaking tools and stuff
just sayin' mr and mrs old digger are some of the finest people you will ever meet.......
just gotta say old digger is got one heck of a sense of humor....everybody would enjoy their company

Looks like you all had a great outing in that field!!! Those are some very nice relics.

Umm, why is there so much dirt there yet Steve?

just sayin' the copper bangle is the second piece from the right in the first image
it is bent and old digger did not know what it was at first since it does not look like a lot.......... but it is way way cool
now days the newer jingle dresses worn at the pow-wows are made from copenhagen tops. and they jingle a lot louder than i would think those ancient ones did
the copper bangle is made from a rolled piece of kettle copper which is the same material that copper point is made from and is a great and rare find
the two copper pieces and that KRF jaw notch point are with the top finds of the old diggers from the weekend
they also have more things which i am quite sure that they will post which include:
a few split buffalo rib quill flatteners and flaking tools
some perfect bone pulley awls which are real nice
i think a bead made from missouri river mussel shell

about the jaw notch arrow point....whenever we are lucky enuff to find one they are consistently of the highest quality for some reason....
......and seem to be made by the most experienced knappers
