Hand hewed logs with dove tail joints. Does the old place still stand today? Would be a great place to hunt. Thanks.

Sad to say but that area was developed many years ago.

Just adding another family picture. It's my great grand father back after a hunting trip. Looks like he bagged a deer,bobcat ,raccoon and a opossum. 8) 8) 8)

No, most of the things were lost in a fire at my grandmothers house.

Hey worthy55, thanks for the pics.
You folks home looks real similar to the one my dad and his 6 brothers built for their mom in the 1930's, cept' they did put on a tin roof. She fought like crazy in '69, when they wanted to build an inside bathroom on the house. Said that was stupid, to put a shi--er, next to where you cook!

Her home still stands today.

Yes, kitty that would be strange for someone that always used an outhouse to have one inside. I remember when I was a kid in northern Alabama we had to use an outhouse and when we moved to Florida we had one inside and I thought that was so cool. no roosters to deal with or out there in the dark. 8) 8) 8)
