I've no idea about the age, but very cool button regardless. I like that old stuff with the ornate designs...handmade..with pride. Good save RHP...keep those finds coming, thx for sharing, Ddf.
 
I would say 1700s given the absence of a back mark. Nice find

Yeap where you find a Dandy Button, you normally get Geo halfpennies.
 
Very nice relic, congratulations! IMHO; date is somewhere around +/-1750.
