Went to a bean field that used to have an old church on it. There wasn't anything to noteworthy in my finds for today. Some of the items in the picture were from yesterday at an old house. What I did find today that was interesting, at least to me, was the horseshoe and possibly my first ring. It does look like there is something on the inside but can't really tell. Any help on identifying it would be much appreciated...or even a good guess. LOL

Anyways...thanks for looking and happy hunting!

Good finds. Looks like a old copper ring to me. You could try rubbing some mineral oil or olive oil on it to help see what's on it? :)

That is certainly a ring. Looks like a wedding ring, probably plated gold when it was new. Certainly old. Good find. Congrats.

Yup it's a ring looks copper or brass but it is a ring congrats...

i pulled a copper ring last summer, had the soder seam and everything, i gess mine to be from 1890 to 1920 just fromthe other things i was pulling from that site, good find!!

Well...The first time I went to that site a week ago I pulled a 1907 IH....so that could put the ring into late 1800s early 1900s range.

Thank you for sharing your hunt and those pictures with us

After cleaning it up a bit, it still looks pretty rough but I can make out an '18' on the inside.
Not really sure what that would mean though.

Not sure but it could mean the size 18. Like 18mm or something. Good find! :)
