old knives

Here are some old penknives I found along the Morris Canal in Warren County. Some have ivory handles. Were they common in the 19th century?
I do need to use a better camera ,, sorry.

Pictures of each individual knife would be helpful and enjoyable. Also, open up the blades, if possible, so we can see if there are any makers' marks on them.

Congrats on finding several knives. I always carry a small pocket knife with me, wherever I go (I don't fly. lol) so I enjoy seeing what brands, types and qualities others carried with them as well.
