These four lead toys were found in a local park at about 4-5 inches down, behind an old tree just off the main path. They appear to be Roman dressed(at least the soldier). The two smaller figures appear to be black children wearing plain brown dresses and some type of flat topped hat(also brown)on thier heads. The larger female is also black(african-american),but she is wearing a white dress with a green and red striped "belt".She has a pinkish colored hair wrap around her head and what appears to be gold colored armbands and bracelets, her dress also has gold accents around the bottom and the neckline. The "soldier"is wearing a yellow top some type of kilt looking skirt or something which is off-white in color. He is holding a sword in one hand and a shield in the other. As I stated before they're made out of lead except for the shield in the soldier's hand,it's tin?maybe? All four were found within a foot of one another and most of the paint is still in pretty good shape.Anybody familiar with toys like this?I've never seen any like this before, not this style of dress anyway.
