Old Lock and Key

My Dad found this lock and key in western PA in the mid 80's. The key was found in the lock. The lock does turn and lock (and unlock). There is more pitting on the back, so I can not make out who made the lock. Any information on the value of these items or offers would be greatly appreciated.

It's mid 18th to 19th century. I would put it on the market for 20$- 50$.
