Came across a pic of this old lumber mill up in the Sierra's. Found it, although it's a mess out there. They moved it to another area shortly after the turn of the century, and just threw all the nails on the ground, millions of them!
It's tough hunting, but I'm sure there's coins and other good stuff there. Just gotta go slow a easy.

Both axes are broken, as well as the logging chain dog. The biggest horse shoe I've ever seen, and looks like it was re-purposed, with a big nail still in it. Somebody hunting there spilled their box of 300 savages. The railroad spike is a small type used on the narrow gauge timber rail lines. They built the mill on an old indian camp, debitage everywhere.

Well you're on the relics.
Thinking the horse shoe was a nail above the door one, as a shoe nail is only short.
Liking the debitage (new word for me for some odd reason)

Nice assortment of relics! A bit of hand-forged stuff, too.
The Native American stuff is great tho...!
I'd re-visit the site again and again...!

Keep digging til you find a complete log dog and axe head. Maybe even a complete chain. They are there to be found.
