🔎 UNIDENTIFIED Old metal piece found in woods

Found this metal piece out in the woods close to the edge of a field. Made of metal with “1820 Greenville O” on it. We live in Greenville, Ohio. Wish I snapped additional pictures of it, but this is all I have. Maybe a piece of old farm equipment? Or possibly some sort of mill piece?

I'll start it out with a "SWAG" ..edge of field in woods ..farm equipment often left where last used ...
Early manure spreaders, grain drills, mowers etc were ground driven ....
That particular spline connection (castle nut looking item) is seen sometimes in the power transfer of the wheel turning on the ground turning something on the machine like the manure spreading paddle, or the rake chain dragging the the manure to the spreader paddle ...or on a grain drill powering the seed feed shaft etc

Then again ...I could just be full of manure !

There's lots of oxidation on the iron, looking the enlarged view. Open air oxidation of metal that isn't exposed to salts, minerals stands the test of time.
1820 is probably the date of patent, or company founding.
Hard to tell just looking at the photo, but I am going to agree with Brokenbear on the farm equipment.

From the postings lately it seems as though the ops are posting a single grainy, one position photo of a rusty, dirty object and at times they already know what it is and they’re challenging us to figure it out.
I think from this point forward if the poster isn’t going to be willing to put a little effort into it, I’m going to just bow out of the blind guessing game.

Several pics from different angles and add something for scale. (it’s not like the phone is going to run out of film)

A little background or history if known, of where it was found or at very minimum, the state.

Possibly try cleaning it just a little if needed.

Hiked out this morning and found it again so I could get more pictures. It has a long pipe that leads down to the main connection (the part with “1820 Greenville O”) then has two lower pipes parallel to the ground, which are rusting. Seems very logical that it would be some sort of old abandoned farm equipment. Greenville was founded in 1808. Would this have been made in 1820 or maybe just the patent date as someone suggested? And made in Greenville? Really 200 years old?

With the two other pipes it gives a three point hitch type of set-up so maybe it was an early PTO with the pipe that is attached to the unit being a cover for an internal shaft that came off the tractor. Thank you for the extra pictures My thoughts are just how I see it could possibly be being used. But I could also be way off.

Going with the farm equipment line,maybe the first pic is part of a slip clutch minus the rubber insert that allowed it to slip,such as a bush hog PTO drive,keeps from breaking the blades when you hit a stump you see? Wild arse guess,but that,s all I got!
