Well, I went back to the mill site with my 3 boys, and low and behold, the first signal I received I dug. Out popped an 1899 Barber quarter from perhaps 10" down in the roots. I called my wife on the cell phone and took pics. Then I rescanned the dirt prior to filling in and got another good signal. By golly, a 1900-S dime! Two coins from one hole. Then it started to rain and the boys wanted to go home, so we hiked the mile back to the car. So now I know I am in the right spot, and must return many times to get a total feel for the site. Bryan
