I don't know! But, I usually dig them all up so I don't think I missed many treasures in a tin can!

I do love this story but I can say with absolute certainty that you won't see any pictures or news stories (or any stories) if I ever get lucky enough to find an old hoard.

I’ve always wondered if you would hear the coins, in a can, or metal box, so I’m digging everything until I find out. lol

I guess if I was to find a hoard, some would have to be quietly distributed to bank lock boxes, family and etc...maybe re-buried, again....!
Hey, with a bunch of GOLD, back then, was a LOT of money to somebody - today, it is too..., a crazy amount for each coin, is
paid at auctions...! Publicity drives the prices up..., historic connections make them top dollar.

11. What makes you think that you won't get caught? Selling at coin auctions get top dollars, but the IRS wants their share.

IRS doesn't relate to Family Connections; Historical Events...; even the common habit of burying your valuables...!
I'm going to start looking at can dumps a little differently, in the future...!
