OLD!! Paper Money Find

[gods country girl]

The girl at the place where i buy my lottery tickets saves any old paper money and coins that come through for me.I got all of them for for face value , 3 1935 silver certs,1923 silver cert,2 1899 silver certs and a 1934 10$ bill ,all on the same day.Got a 1950 and a 1934 10$ the week before.I think somebody is spending someones stash, hopefully will get some more of these.

Hope you keep getting the opportunity to buy those oldies. Maybe, through the cashier, you could contact the customer bringing them in? See what they have? How much? How old? etc.

thats an awesome find. The 1899 series of silver certificates are a beautiful series, the $1's are called black eagles, the $2's have an image of George Washington and the $5's have an image of an Indian Chief.

Those so called Black Eagles are the coolest bill I have ever seen in my life. I need to get me some of those they are real sweet looking. If I was going to get a tattoo that eagle is one I would think about getting. I mean man that is just too cool.

those are some great bills.

Those black eagle bills and bills of the same size were also called "Horse Blankets"
Because they are so much bigger than the newer bills.
Not all of the large bills are silver certs some are fed notes and others are bank notes.


I like the large bills better than the smaller ones.
They were art.
