Found a park on Google Earth, looked it up on the internet
and found out it was 118 years old.
Went there and looked for about four hours.
Second coin i dug was a 1905 V Nickel.
I was excited to find something old for a change.
Seems the old nickels get passed up.
Found a little clad, and a lot of junk.
Happy hunting all.

awesome find bob-i think i will check that google earth out. not sure how to use it but i guess i will learn. hh!

the first thing i ever found with my MD was a old tab top. i still have it and im probly going to frame it.

i live in st joseph missouri where the pony express started and jesse james ended there are a lot of empty lots where some of the grandest houses once stood they are not posted or fenced in so in 2 weeks when the kids go back to school i am going to go mding in those lots gotta be something good in those lots the town was started in the middle 1700s i do belive and was a grand old town untill the middle 70 s when that damed urban renewal thing got started .

Is that a free download of google earth?I use mapquest once in a while to find some parks.

Google Earth is a free download....I use it for detecting as well.

I like Google Maps. I can switch it to 'street view' and it's like driving down the street/road. Satellite view is good, too, for finding out of the way places and a place to park.

Cool finds! All I found today was a Schlitz can and nettles.
