while scounting around the local carboot, people are prone to pack up early, even some just leave the items not sold in a pile, while the mad scramble starts by passers by, on this weekends walk around i noticed a small pile of objects just left in a little box, cups,saucers of various colours, then wooden spoons, forks of stainless steel well worn, then a little pewter jug, dirty grey, upon picking it up, on the bottom was stamped 1736, and a naval stamp "v", anyone know if the year is right for naval stamps, or is it a qty stamp 1736 of a poss 1800 produced etc....

We have some great researchers here, but you would stand a better chance in the 'What is it' section with photos of the base stamp.
